This policy describes what we collect, why, and your rights.
Data we collect
- Account: name, email, phone, password hash.
- Location: pickup, drop-off, and (for drivers) live GPS while online. Trail data is retained with completed rides for safety and dispute resolution.
- Verification (drivers): license, insurance, vehicle registration, selfie, background check results.
- Payments: tokenized card via our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Device: app version, coarse device info, push tokens.
How we use it
To match rides, calculate fares, verify identity, prevent fraud, respond to safety incidents, and comply with law.
Sharing
With the driver or passenger of a booked ride (name, rating, pickup/drop-off), with our processors (payments, SMS, maps, background checks), and with authorities where legally required.
Retention
Ride records: 7 years for tax and safety. Verification docs: while your account is active plus 24 months. You can request deletion by emailing support.
Your rights
Access, correct, export, or delete your data. Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA) additional rights apply.
Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security on user data, principle of least privilege, and regular audits.
